Hi,
Let me take a few lines to introduce you to what we're all about. We are an informal neighborhood fun place to meet & eat, a middle age hangout in the best sense (middle age = over 21 and still able to sit up & take a little nourishment). Sit down, relax play a tune or two on our piano & enjoy (please no chopsticks, loud playing). If this is your first visit, please let your server know. We are here to serve you. Let us know what you like, how you like it spiced or any special dietary needs you might have. If you need something while you are here, yell out for it, if no one answers, get it yourself before it's gone, inform al enough?
It is extremely important to me that your visit here is the most enjoyable and memorable one, So much so that you will come back again & again. I want to know that you've been served well & have had plenty to eat. More than that, I want to personally If you haven't. Call me at my home 945-4110. You are the only people who can tell me if we are doing it right. Help us to be successful by telling us our shortcomings (but no comments about my looks).
Our batter recipe dates back to 1911, when Mr. & Mrs. Kelly started a water front take out restaurant in Boston. They & their family continued until the lineage ran out in 1975. 1 worked there as a teen & I'm introducing you to some of their Old New England cooking & yes, I'm always in the market for a new recipe.
In 1990 I met a prominent local doctor who changed the sour cream & milk Kelly's batter to cholesterol free nonfat yogurt & skim milk. We've made a few more improvements, such as pure Conola Oil. Our aim is to have the best tasting seafood ever , while keeping our health in mind.
Seafood is unique. Unlike beef, each fish is independent of another. You should eat seafood in two steps. First smell, then taste. If you don't like the smell, don't taste. God made the fish, we just cook it. Soooo, if you get a piece that's not quite right, please let us know & we'll happily replaced it immediately.
So again, enjoy our New England Menu, from our tasty appetizers, to our delicious entrees.
CAUTION: Our clam chowder is habit forming & very filling.
